Founder & DirectorRandy Fisher, MA is the Founder and Director of Development Wisdom, a nonprofit that develops programs and partnerships to empower at-risk and vulnerable youth and adults. He has 15+ years of experience in working with organizations to find the right mix of technology, social media and people engagement. He is also the Founder and CEO of Customer Discovery Pros, Startup Investors Lab and a mentor with the highly-regarded US National Science Foundation's Innovation (i-Corps) program.
Randy has a rare combination of skills and experience in stakeholder engagement / strategic partnering; marketing and entrepreneurship; project and change management; education and community-building. He was an Education Specialist with the Information and Communications Technology Council, and has worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Commonwealth of Learning and University of Ottawa. For WikiEducator.org, he helped build a community of 18,000 educators in 120 countries, and several successful spinoff programs: for example, the Community Media / Community Radio Community of Practice. He is a volunteer with the Open Source Initiative. He began his career as a business journalist with The Globe and Mail, Financial Post and CBC Radio and has written for numerous business and lifestyle publications. He was also Director, Communications of the Public Policy Forum.
